A dozer may be a crawler (continuous half-track tractor) equipped with a considerable metal plate (known as a blade) accustomed push massive quantities of soil, sand, rubble, or alternative such material throughout construction or conversion work and sometimes equipped at the rear with a claw-like device (known as a ripper) to loosen densely compacted materials. Bulldozers are found on a large variety of websites, mines, and quarries, military bases, significant business factories, engineering comes, and farms. The term “bulldozer” properly refers solely to a tractor (usually tracked) fitted with a tractor blade.

Another style of dozer is that the wheeled dozer, that typically has four wheels driven by a 4-wheel-drive system and encompasses a hydraulic, articulated steering mechanism. The blade is mounted forward of the articulation joint and is hydraulicly motivated.
